The concert - entitled "Et
Ecce Terrae Motus" Masterpieces of Poly Choral Music from the
Renaissance and Baroque - will be given
in St.
Barnabas Church, Jericho, OXFORD
on Sunday 22nd October starting at 19h45.

In this concert we present Renaissance and Baroque choral masterpieces
which owe their magnificence to the large number of vocal lines.
Some of these lines are doubled or replaced by instruments, and the
impact is further enhanced by placing choirs and players in different
parts of the church. The Bartholomew Consort is privileged to be singing
with Simon Gunton's
The
Golden Section, playing on period wind and string instruments, and
with Stephen Hollas at the organ.
The programme includes the
following choral pieces, with orchestral pieces interspersed:
| Palestrina |
Ecce, nunc benedicite à 12 |
| |
Nunc dimittis à 12 |
| Guerrero |
